Henry Bins has a condition so rare it is named after him: he is awake for exactly one hour each day, from three to four in the morning, and asleep for the other twenty-three.

One night, in his hour, he sees a woman murdered in the house across the street. He has sixty minutes a day to investigate, cannot follow anyone into daylight, and has to leave himself notes. Pirog turns a gimmick into a genuinely tense structure — every chapter is one hour, and the clock is always running out.

Book one of the Henry Bins series. Short, fast and hard to stop reading.
