Austerlitz Novel by W. G. Sebald

Austerlitz is the final novel by the German writer and academic W. G. Sebald, a critically acclaimed masterpiece that tells the story of a man's lifelong quest to uncover his forgotten Jewish heritage and the fate of his family during the Holocaust. The novel unfolds primarily through a series of long conversations between an unnamed narrator (who resembles Sebald) and the protagonist, Jacques Austerlitz, an architectural historian whom he first meets in an Antwerp train station in the late 1960s.
