The Institute Novel by Stephen King

In the middle of the night, twelve-year-old Luke Ellis’s parents are murdered, and he is abducted to a secret facility known as the Institute. He wakes in a room that looks like his own but has no window, and soon learns that other children with telepathic and telekinetic abilities are held in nearby rooms. The Institute’s staff conducts relentless experiments to extract and exploit their powers, with the most feared destination being the mysterious “Back Half,” from which no child returns. As his friends begin to vanish, Luke grows desperate to escape, relying on his intelligence and the bonds he forms with fellow captives. Together, they must fight to survive and find a way to expose the Institute’s dark secrets.
