The Scorch Trials Novel by James Dashner

"The Scorch Trials" picks up where "The Maze Runner" left off. The protagonist, Thomas, and his fellow Gladers find themselves out of the maze, only to discover that their trials are far from over. Instead of being free, they are thrust into a desolate and sun-scorched landscape known as the Scorch. The mysterious organization WICKED, which orchestrated the maze experiments, presents the group with a new set of challenges and dangers.

As Thomas and his friends navigate the Scorch, they encounter other survivors, face perilous environments, and confront the infected victims of a devastating disease known as the Flare. The group must decipher clues, make alliances, and confront the secrets of WICKED as they try to survive in a world where nothing is as it seems. The Scorch Trials are a test of not only their physical endurance but also their mental resilience as they unravel the mysteries that surround their existence. The novel explores themes of survival, trust, and the consequences of scientific experimentation gone awry.
